Madam Pang suddenly leaves the Thai national team

Billionaire Madam Pang has been the head of the delegation at the Golden Temple football team since August 2021. The reason she left this job is to focus all her efforts on running for the position of President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).

The election for the FAT presidency is expected to begin on February 8. Currently, billionaire Madam Pang is considered a strong candidate to take over this position to replace Mr. Somyot Poompanmoung.

Madam Pang's reputation rose during her time as head of the Thai football team. In particular, this businesswoman is famous for being a big spender. According to Siam Sport, she has given nearly 55.5 million baht (about 38.5 billion VND) in bonuses to the Thai teams. This amount does not include the cost of facilities.

Under Madam Pang as head of the delegation, Thai football has been quite successful. They have won two consecutive AFF Cup championships in the 2020 and 2022 tournaments. There are two coaches who have worked with Madam Pang: Mano Polking and Masatada Ishii.

Siam Sport newspaper praised Madam Pang's contributions to Thai football. They wrote: "She has rekindled the fighting spirit of Thai players. They always go on the field with the highest desire to fight. That contributes to the success of the team and creates joy for Thai fans."
