In that context, Man United has made an offer of 80 million euros, hoping to surpass Arsenal to bring the striker from Sporting Lisbon to Old Trafford. According to Portuguese newspaper SIC Noticias, negotiations with Sporting Lisbon are progressing well. MU is about to reach a comprehensive agreement when this price fully meets the requirements of the partner.
However, the difficulty here is that Gyokeres only wants to play for Arsenal. He has reached a verbal agreement to move to Arsenal and signed a 5-year contract. Moreover, the Swedish striker only wants to play for clubs competing in the Champions League next season, and Man United cannot give him this opportunity.
