From traditional cultural festivals to modern, large-scale, highly influential cultural and tourism events, Thanh Hoa is mentioned by tourists as an attractive cultural "meeting place". Among them, Lam Kinh Festival is a unique traditional cultural festival in Lam Son land, and is also a typical annual cultural and tourism event of the province. Every year, the festival attracts the participation of thousands of people and tourists from all over the country. Through the festival, solemn rituals such as palanquin procession, reading of congratulatory messages, and incense offering in memory of National Hero Le Loi and ancestors who contributed to the country's founding are recreated. The festival took place in a vibrant atmosphere with a unique art program and folk cultural activities such as dragon dance, festival drums, Xuan Pha games... In order to bring visitors new perspectives on the traditional festival, in 2023 the art program was organized for the first time in the form of a live stage, with the theme "Lam Son Uprising - Brilliant Mark", written by writer Nguyen Quang Vinh as scriptwriter and general director. The program was elaborately staged on a realistic landscape, combined with modern sound and lighting effects. Thereby, it recreated the life, career, and great contributions of National Hero Le Loi and the heroes, righteous men, and people in the fight against the invading Ming invaders, regaining sovereignty , independence, and building a prosperous Dai Viet nation. Over many years of organization, Lam Kinh Festival is not only a spiritual "support" for Thanh people but also an attractive tourist event for visitors, arousing the spirit of solidarity and national pride in each citizen.

The festival’s appeal, along with the cultural and historical depth of Lam Son, has contributed to arousing pride, patriotism and awareness of preserving heritage in every citizen.”
Along with the attention to enhancing traditional cultural festivals, Thanh Hoa province also organizes a variety of large-scale cultural and tourism events. In particular, the opening event of Sam Son beach tourism has become the focus for domestic and international tourists every summer. With the upgrade in scale, along with the innovation in content and organization methods over the years, the event has created a strong attraction for tourists. This year, the opening ceremony of Sam Son beach tourism was organized by Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in coordination with Sun Group Corporation. With the theme "Sam Son - Aspiration to shine", the festival brought a large-scale art program, elaborately invested in both content and performance form. Many tourists commented that the heat of the series of cultural, sports and tourism events has contributed significantly to making Sam Son Beach Tourism Urban Area become a meeting place of emotions and a place where every summer begins with endless joy.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Thi Hai Yen said: “The elevation of cultural and tourism events has contributed to widely promoting the image of Thanh land and people to domestic and international friends. Therefore, investment in infrastructure and facilities is considered a lever to elevate cultural and tourism events. Up to now, with a convenient traffic infrastructure system and modern facilities, Thanh Hoa is ready to organize large-scale cultural and tourism events and festivals, with the participation of a large number of people and domestic and international tourists”.
According to the event calendar, in 2025, localities in the province are expected to organize 150 cultural, sports and tourism events. With a harmonious combination of preserving traditional cultural values and developing tourism in a civilized and modern direction, the events promise to bring visitors unique and meaningful experiences. In particular, the elevation of cultural and tourism events is expected to create highlights in the spiritual life of the people, and at the same time be a bridge to bring the image of Thanh land closer to domestic and international friends.
