Newcastle beat Arsenal at home

In round 11 of the Premier League, Newcastle continued their excellent form when they defeated championship candidate Arsenal. The only goal of the match was scored by Gordon.

Losing 0-1 at Newcastle, Arsenal missed the chance to take the top spot. The "Gunners" are still in 3rd place with 24 points and could completely fall out of the Top 4 if Liverpool and Aston Villa both win. Newcastle rose to 6th place with 20 points.

Playing away at St. James' Park, Arsenal faced a big challenge against the strong play of the home team.
