On July 14, the Tan Binh District Summer Steering Committee coordinated with relevant units to organize the 6th Green Living Festival in 2024 at Hoang Van Thu Park (Tan Binh District).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Huy Hoang - member of the district party committee, secretary of the Tan Binh district Youth Union - said that in recent times, Tan Binh district has organized many environmental protection activities such as the model of "garbage-free neighborhood", "bright - green - clean alley" and programs to respond to climate change...
"The 6th Green Living Festival with the theme "I love my city - green city" is organized with the goal of raising awareness for teenagers, encouraging them to actively participate in protecting the environment, building a civilized lifestyle in residential, public, learning and working places," said Mr. Hoang.
In particular, within the framework of the 2024 Environmental Festival, there will be a recycled fashion show competition for children in the district. The contest costumes are made by the children from recycled materials such as bags, nylon, plastic bottles, tape, paper, newspapers, bottle caps, etc.
According to the organizers, the contest has 33 prizes for impressive recycled fashion outfits and 2 prizes for environmental protection painting, with a total prize value of up to 9.8 million VND.
In addition, the festival also organizes many cultural activities for children in the district such as a corner introducing reading culture space, a photo exhibition with the theme "Thinking and perception", a corner promoting rules of civilized tourism behavior and communication culture in the community.
