After the merger, Mr. Tran Quang Bao was appointed as Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province (including An Giang and Kien Giang provinces).

Mr. Tran Quang Bao (born in 1969) has the following professional qualifications: Bachelor of Mathematics Pedagogy; Bachelor of Political Education; Master of Educational Management; Senior Politics . From December 2019, Mr. Bao was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang province.

The Deputy Directors include: Mr. Thieu Van Nam, Ms. Pham Xuan Binh, Mr. Huynh Van Hoa, Mr. Cao Quoc Dien, Mr. Vo Binh Thu, Mr. Tran Tuan Khanh and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh.

After the merger, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province has 121 affiliated units including 95 high schools, 3 specialized high schools, 2 high school boarding schools for ethnic minorities, 5 middle school boarding schools for ethnic minorities, 4 intermediate schools, 1 school for children with disabilities, 2 provincial Continuing Education Centers, and 9 Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers.
