The An Giang Red Cross Society said: Every July and August, the demand for blood for treatment at hospitals increases, while the blood supply is not enough. The "Giot Hong An Giang " festival takes place at this time to contribute to meeting the demand for blood during peak times, saving hundreds of lives.

Since the launch of the Red Journey Program on June 1, 2025, the entire An Giang province has organized many voluntary blood donation activities, receiving 1,182 units of blood; currently, the blood donation point at the Central Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha has increased blood collection.
