Reporters from inside and outside the province interviewed good farmers in Thong Nhat district. |
They can be old farmers who have spent their whole lives working on the fields, farm owners who have risen from poverty, business owners or large corporations investing in agriculture and rural areas. Although their starting points are different, when choosing to start a business in agriculture , they share a common heart of dedication, doing meaningful things for the community and society.
Although an industrial province, Dong Nai still prioritizes investment in agriculture and new rural areas (NTM), always leading the country in building advanced NTM and model NTM. Propaganda work has great significance in contributing to the effective implementation of the NTM Construction Movement.
In particular, Dong Nai Newspaper has done a good job of informing and spreading good models, creative ways of doing things, setting good examples, encouraging patriotic emulation movements, developing production... Thereby, contributing to promoting new vitality, new people and achievements that Dong Nai Party Committee and people have achieved in the process of socio-economic development, especially agricultural and rural development.
In the propaganda content, rural people really play a leading role in both production development and contributing their efforts and money to build rich and beautiful countrysides. For example, Mr. Vo Huu Thoi, an excellent Vietnamese farmer with a garden - pond - barn farm model associated with eco-tourism covering an area of 15 hectares in Long Thanh district. Not only enriching his family, he also contributes to the community by donating nearly 5,000 m2 of land to build roads; investing more than 600 million VND to build electricity lines to the production area and always willing to participate in other volunteer activities.
With 15 hectares of certified organic vegetables and fruits, Tam Minh Quang Production, Trade and Service Cooperative (Vinh Cuu district) is currently the unit with the largest organic production area in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Director of Tam Minh Quang Production, Trade and Service Cooperative, shared: “I chose organic farming with the desire to bring health to the community by contributing to creating a source of green and safe agricultural products. We hope to become an organization operating in the agricultural sector with heart and vision.”
Following the Government's program, the Party Committee and Dong Nai authorities aim to develop an "ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers". Accordingly, Dong Nai press always identifies agriculture, countryside, and farmers as important contents that need to be focused on propaganda. Dong Nai Newspaper in particular always proactively follows closely and promptly builds propaganda plans on agriculture, rural areas, as well as the National Target Program on New Rural Development, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, etc.
Articles on agriculture, rural areas, and farmers in Dong Nai Newspaper not only focus on the story of crops and agricultural product prices, but also on changes in consumption trends, new requirements of the domestic and export markets, as well as orientations and policies... to develop ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers.
One of the contents that Dong Nai Newspaper focuses on promoting are good and effective models in production development, especially accompanying the new generation of farmers to "think big, do big" not only contributing to enriching the homeland, but also joining hands to develop green, modern and sustainable agriculture.
Through propaganda content in the press, typical models such as Doc Mo Farm (Thong Nhat district) were established from the joint efforts of new generation farmers with the mindset of business owners in many industries such as: architects, media, food processing... Their startup story is to build a green farm, a chain linking agricultural production, processing combined with community tourism to increase the value of agricultural products.
Here, the relationship between the press and farmers is not one-way. Because the farmers themselves, farm owners, and business owners who invest in green production and have achieved organic certification not only actively cooperate in providing information to the press, but also directly participate in communication, contributing to gradually changing the awareness of both producers and consumers.
