Vu Thi Trang entered the quarterfinals of the Singapore badminton tournament with the help of Nguyen Tien Minh.

At the Singapore tournament, Vietnamese badminton fans witnessed an interesting scene when Nguyen Tien Minh, the coach, came out to guide Vu Thi Trang. Thanks to Tien Minh's "tips" after the first game and the break between the two games, Vu Thi Trang made effective adjustments, promoting her strength and overcoming her opponent's weaknesses.

Vu Thi Trang was born in 1992 in Bac Giang, one of the cradles of Vietnamese badminton. She won a bronze medal at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore, a bronze medal at the SEA Games in 2013 and 2015, and achieved her career-high ranking of 34th in the world (in 2017). She also won a ticket to the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

Who is Vu Thi Trang?

In 2016, Vu Thi Trang married Nguyen Tien Minh, becoming the most beautiful couple in Vietnam's badminton world. After living together, Vu Thi Trang and Nguyen Tien Minh continued to pursue their passion for badminton. Tien Minh strongly supported Vu Thi Trang both professionally and mentally. He was Trang's "blue team" in training and also acted as a coach, helping his wife perfect her techniques and tactics.

Vu Thi Trang said: "At the moment I am no longer at my peak, but as a professional athlete, I will try my best. I hope to achieve good results before retiring from my career." For someone as secretive about everything as Nguyen Tien Minh, he only said that Vu Thi Trang is a special friend with whom he can share everything in life.
