People flock to their hometowns for Tet holiday, Hanoi bus station "suffocates"

At the end of the last working day before the Lunar New Year holiday, people flocked to bus stations in Hanoi to return to their hometowns.


Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company said that to facilitate people's travel during the Lunar New Year, this year, the number of reserve vehicles has been increased to 2,486 vehicles. At Giap Bat Bus Station, the highest number of passengers during peak days is about 20,000/day, an increase of 350% compared to normal days. It is expected that each peak day will have 850 - 900 vehicles operating. The increase in passengers is mainly concentrated on routes to Nam Dinh, Thai Binh , Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, etc.
