Currently, stores specializing in selling Halloween items on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (District 1), Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Cao Thang (District 3), Nguyen Trai, Hai Thuong Lan Ong (District 5), Vo Van Ngan (Thu Duc District)... are filled with costumes and horror character creations.

''I bought some items to decorate the company for Halloween. This year's designs are quite diverse and eye-catching, but the prices are higher than previous years. Therefore, with about 3 million VND, I have to choose the necessary and suitable items,'' said Ms. Nguyen Quynh Hoa (27 years old).

The owner of a shop on Hai Thuong Lan Ong street, Mr. Tran Kien Cuong said: "This year, prices have increased by about 10% compared to last year. The grim reaper model with a price of 9 million VND is the most valuable product that my shop imports and sells, and there are already orders. The best-selling items are pumpkins, masks and cloaks..." .

Pumpkin-shaped lanterns are quite popular, depending on their size, they cost from 20,000 to 70,000 VND. The oil lamp model is a new product for this year's Halloween season, the small one costs 30,000 VND, the larger one costs 60,000 VND.

Pumpkins are an indispensable item in any Halloween space. Each set of 6 small pumpkins costs 235,000 VND. Large pumpkins cost about 600,000 VND/pumpkin.

While decorative items attract adults, costumes attract children. Witch costumes come in a variety of sizes and colors and cost from 45,000 to 75,000 VND.

Ms. Thu Nhi, a guest shop owner on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street, said that the number of customers per day is about 20-50 people, down more than half compared to last year. But according to her prediction, about 5 days before the holiday, the number of customers will increase again.

"In recent years, schools, especially international schools, have been very interested in organizing many events and costume contests for Halloween, so items for this festival are also sought after. The closer to the holiday, the more bustling the buying and selling atmosphere, especially on weekends," said Ms. Nhi.

Besides buying, many schools, agencies or individual customers who are students also often rent costumes such as: witch costumes, masks... to organize fun programs.

Nguyen Duy Minh (3rd year student) shared: "This year we haven't bought toys early because the prices are higher than last year and the economy is difficult at this time. We will wait until the days near the festival to buy them, hoping that the stores will reduce the prices then."
