On August 6, doctors at Bac Thang Long General Hospital ( Bac Giang ) informed that on the evening of August 5, they received emergency treatment for a patient who was seriously injured due to using a phone while charging.
The doctor diagnosed the patient with severe trauma to the right hand, exposed tendons in the hand and fingers, and severe injuries to the face, neck, and many other areas of the body.

Although experts have repeatedly warned against using phones while charging, similar accidents still occur.
Most recently, at the end of July, Son La Provincial General Hospital received a 7-year-old male patient with severe groin injury and heavy bleeding due to using a phone while charging a power bank.
The patient was admitted to the hospital with a completely peeled penis, ruptured corpus cavernosum, peeled skin exposing both testicles, extensive soft tissue damage in the groin area, and especially a torn right femoral artery and vein.
Doctors say that injuries caused by explosives in general, and phone chargers in particular, are often very serious and complicated and need to be treated promptly. When an explosion occurs, the patient needs to receive proper first aid, have the wound bandaged to stop bleeding, and be transferred immediately to a medical facility capable of multidisciplinary surgery for examination and the fastest treatment to minimize consequences.
