On the morning of July 7 (Vietnam time), Thuy Linh (ranked 23rd in the world ) entered the women's singles championship match of the 2025 Canada Open with Japanese tennis player Manami Suizu (ranked 35th in the world ).

In set 1, Thuy Linh could only chase her opponent in the early stages and tied 5-5.

After that, the Vietnamese player had trouble with Manami Suizu's precise plays. Thuy Linh then quickly lost with a score of 12-21.

The tennis player from Phu Tho tried her best in set 2 but was helpless against her opponent's excitement.

In the end, Thuy Linh lost 14-21, accepting to watch Manami Suizu win the 2025 Canada Open.

Although she could not reach the highest podium, this was still a memorable milestone in Thuy Linh's career.

Throughout the tournament, she showed steady form and played with confidence to overcome many strong opponents, including emotional comebacks in the quarterfinals and semi-finals.
