Many activities to experience Vietnamese Tet at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology

Many interesting activities take place at the program "Experience Vietnamese Tet".

Participating in the program, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the beauty of traditional Tet through activities such as erecting a pole, wrapping banh chung, writing calligraphy, printing Dong Ho paintings, water puppetry, etc. Children can participate in many folk games such as: tug of war, badminton, playing mat, throwing pao, tossing con, pushing sticks, etc. as well as freely exploring the 12 zodiac animals through painting or making funny figurines.

In addition, this year's program has new activities, such as: Painting and discovering Hoi An heritage: learning about heritage through painting; Discovering Tet through technology: overcoming challenges Discovering traditional Tet; interactive Fun to discover the meaning of Vietnamese Tet, Hoi An heritage; Interactive game Discovering Tet fruit tray (VR); Discovering science through folk knowledge (STEM): experience making toys and scientific experiments associated with Tet...

In particular, the program has the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trong Duong with the theme of Dragon Year talking about Dragons: Children of the dragon - the legend of the dragon giving birth to nine children in Vietnamese culture; the dragon's descendants - the dragon symbol in the culture of ethnic minorities in Vietnam... This is an activity aimed at the program of Spring Joy of Giap Thin of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from the 4th to the 9th of Tet.

From the 4th to the 7th day of Tet (February 13-16, 2024), from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Museum of Ethnology organizes Spring Opening with activities: Ai Lao singing and dancing (4th day of Tet), water puppetry, calligraphy, making to he figurines, exploring Muong culture...

On the 8th and 9th of Tet (February 17 and 18, 2024), from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., there will be two days of the program "Happy Spring of the Year of the Dragon: Cultural Shades of Hoi An" with many attractive activities by more than 40 artisans from Hoi An. In particular, the program "Hoi An Night: Lighting up the heritage together" will be an unforgettable experience for visitors.
