Nintendo reveals the identity of Mario's new voice actor

According to GadgetMatch , Nintendo recently announced that actor Charles Martinet will no longer be voicing Mario. After voicing the iconic Nintendo character for decades, Martinet will be transitioning to an official Mario ambassador role moving forward.

However, the new voice of the character, who will make his debut in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder game, has yet to be revealed. Now, Nintendo has finally confirmed who this new face is.

Mario will have a new voice

Accordingly, voice actor Kevin Afghani posted on social network X that he will voice Mario and Luigi in the game.   coming soon. And Nintendo itself has confirmed this announcement.

Afghani is a relative newcomer to the voice acting scene. IMDb currently lists him as having done only a few voice roles in lesser-known productions. Some gamers may recognize his voice from the Ask-Me-For-Directions character Arnold from Genshin Impact .

Based on the few clips of the upcoming game, Afghani seems to have done a great job voicing the character. Before Nintendo announced that Wonder would be getting a new voice actor, many players speculated that Martinet would still be voicing Mario, since the voice in the first trailer sounded exactly like him. But that's not the case.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be born as a new invention to reform the previous 2D platform series. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch on October 20.
