Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group, returned to Forbes' billionaire list with a fortune of 1.1 billion USD.

Today, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masan Group, was brought back to the list of world billionaires by Forbes . With a fortune of 1.1 billion USD, this businessman ranked 2,945 in the world . Previously, at the end of March, he was removed from this list by Forbes .

Forbes counts an individual's assets based on the number and price of stocks they hold at a given time. In addition, they also evaluate many other assets of billionaires when ranking, including ownership in private companies, real estate, works of art, yachts...

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, born in 1963 in Quang Tri, is a PhD in nuclear physics. He founded Masan Group in 1996 and brought the brand to Vietnam in 2002. This group is currently one of the largest enterprises in the food and beverage sector, owning many brands such as Chinsu chili sauce, Nam Ngu fish sauce...

In addition to being the founder and Chairman of Masan Group, this businessman is also a member of the Board of Directors of Techcombank. He directly owns 18 MSN shares, but indirectly owns hundreds of millions of shares of these two businesses through his own companies.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang became a billionaire again after positive developments from MSN and TCB stocks. Accordingly, MSN increased 43% from the bottom in early April, while TCB's improvement reached 44%.

In addition to Masan's Chairman, Vietnam has four other USD billionaires including Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Ho Hung Anh, Tran Dinh Long and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.

The positive performance of MSN and TCB stocks since the beginning of the year also helped the assets of Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank, increase by 600 million USD.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, is still the richest person in Vietnam with assets of 10.4 billion USD, an increase of 6 billion USD since the beginning of the year. This businessman got rich thanks to Vingroup's VIC stock increasing 130% in 6 months.

Hoa Phat Chairman Tran Dinh Long and Sovico Chairman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao saw their assets decrease. Accordingly, the assets of these two billionaires decreased by 600 million USD and 300 million USD, respectively.
