The Da Nang City Party Committee has just issued Decision No. 13111 dated January 3, 2025 on the establishment of the Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Da Nang City Financial Center. Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, is the Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Da Nang City Financial Center include Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee as the Standing Deputy Head; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the City People's Council. Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh is a Standing Member.
The functions and tasks of the Steering Committee are to assist the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee in leading and directing the timely, comprehensive, complete and effective implementation of the Conclusion Notice No. 47 dated November 15, 2024 of the Politburo "on the construction of a regional and international financial center in Vietnam"; the Resolution of the Government on promulgating the Action Plan to implement the Conclusion Notice No. 47 of the Politburo and the Plan of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the implementation of the Conclusion Notice No. 47 of the Politburo; Focusing resources on infrastructure development investment, developing a plan to mobilize resources, including resources from the State budget and social resources to develop the Da Nang City Financial Center.
The Steering Committee for the Development of the Da Nang City Financial Center also coordinates with the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on the Construction of a Regional and International Financial Center in Vietnam, the Drafting Committee of the National Assembly's Resolution on the Construction of a Regional and International Financial Center in Vietnam, the Working Group on the Construction of the Financial Center's Management and Operational Organization, and relevant ministries and branches in the construction of legal documents and the establishment of the Financial Center's Management and Operational Organization.
The Steering Committee has the function of establishing and operating the management and executive apparatus; developing and implementing the investment plan for human resource development of the Da Nang City Financial Center; Arranging the budget and mobilizing social resources to hire domestic and international consulting units and experts in the process of building and operating the Da Nang City Financial Center; Promoting investment in the Da Nang City Financial Center and related contents. The Standing Committee of the Steering Committee includes the Head, Deputy Heads and Standing Members. The Department of Planning and Investment is the standing body of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee assigns specific tasks to its members; directs the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee to advise on the establishment of a Steering Committee Support Team.
Previously, on November 15, 2024, the Politburo issued Notice No. 47 concluding on the construction of a regional and international financial center in Vietnam. The Politburo agreed in principle with the project to build a regional and international financial center in Vietnam, including the establishment of a comprehensive international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City and a regional financial center in Da Nang city.
