Seized 11 tons of animal fat of unknown origin

Specifically, at around 20:30 on August 13, at km 671 of National Highway 1A, using professional methods, Market Management Team No. 3, Market Management Department of Quang Binh province coordinated with Team 141 North, Quang Binh Provincial Police to stop and check a truck with license plate 73G 01298 driven by Phan Tri Thuc (born in 1991, residing in Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province).

11 tons of animal fat of unknown origin were discovered and seized.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying 225 bags of animal fat of unknown origin that were showing signs of decomposition and giving off a foul odor. Counting determined that the amount of animal fat weighed approximately 11 tons. The driver admitted that he was taking it to the North for sale.

This fat shows signs of decomposition and gives off a foul odor.

Currently, the authorities of Quang Binh province have temporarily detained the vehicle and the above goods for handling according to the provisions of law.
