Promoting the role of the elderly in the era of national growth

“Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam” in 2025 has the theme “Promoting the role of the elderly in the era of national growth”.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches and units to organize the Launching Ceremony appropriately, ensuring the requirements according to the regulations of the Government and localities; at the same time, promote communication, convey the meaning and message of the "Month of Action for the Elderly in Vietnam" in 2025; propagate laws and policies on the elderly, solutions to respond to the problem of population aging.

Representatives of the Provincial Association of the Elderly visited, gave gifts and wished longevity to the elderly in the province.

Synchronously and effectively deploy the National Strategy on the Elderly to 2035, with a vision to 2045 in Dak Lak province, the program on Health Care for the Elderly in Dak Lak province to 2030, the project "Elderly people participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation" and other related programs and projects.

Integrate elderly care into local socio -economic development plans, especially in disadvantaged areas and places with rapid population aging. Mobilize organizations, businesses and individuals to support and assist the elderly in developing production and business; visit, give gifts and encourage and help the elderly in poor households and the elderly in difficult circumstances...

Activities organized at the local level, agencies and units must be practical, effective and ensure that poor elderly people and elderly people in difficult circumstances receive care and assistance in many forms.

The time for organizing advocacy, propaganda and launching activities is from August to the end of September 2025; organizing a peak period in October and maintaining some activities until the end of December 2025. Focusing on the following contents: Visiting and giving gifts to the elderly in poor households and the elderly in difficult circumstances; free health examination and consultation for the elderly; organizing the program "Bright eyes for the elderly", helping the blind elderly with indications to have free cataract surgery; organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities...
