Developing unique tourism products and building a brand for Lang Son tourism

The general goal of the Plan is to build Lang Son into a border province with a developed economy , stable society, national defense, security, and guaranteed ecological environment, one of the growth poles, the economic center of the Northern midland and mountainous region, and an increasingly important "bridge" in economic and trade connections between Vietnam, ASEAN countries, China and Europe.

By 2030, Lang Son province strives to have an economic scale and GRDP per capita in the top 5 provinces in the Northern midland and mountainous region. The province's economic structure will shift strongly towards industry, services, and tourism becoming the main growth drivers, while the agricultural sector will develop towards commodity agricultural and forestry production, applying technology and high efficiency.

Regarding key tasks, Lang Son province innovates and perfects institutions, strongly improves administrative procedures towards streamlining and facilitating businesses and people, creating a modern and transparent business environment; and improving the effectiveness of leadership and management.

Invest in upgrading and developing infrastructure step by step in a synchronous and modern manner, focusing on transport, industrial, commercial, telecommunications, information technology, disaster prevention, waste and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

Developing tourism into a major economic growth driver, a key economic sector of the province by 2030. Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, supporting the development of enterprises and cooperatives, supporting people to develop community tourism.

Regarding development breakthroughs, the planning identifies 4 development breakthroughs, including: Digital transformation and strong improvement of the investment, production and business environment, creating favorable conditions to attract investment and develop economic sectors; Developing socio-economic infrastructure, focusing on transport infrastructure, urban areas, industrial zones and clusters; accelerating the urbanization rate of the province; Developing border gate economy, trade, services and tourism as key economic sectors to promote economic growth; Developing industry towards improving quality, competitiveness, greenness, safety and modernity to become an important driving force for the province's economic development.

Building Lang Son province into a regional service center, an economic and foreign trade center between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with the Southwest region of China, a modern border gate logistics service center of the whole country, and a typical "Green" border gate city of Vietnam.

The plan also prioritizes the development of specific tourism products and the building of a brand for Lang Son tourism, making tourism a key economic sector of the province with a synchronous infrastructure system, diverse products, brands and high competitiveness. Complete the synchronous infrastructure and technical facilities of Mau Son National Tourist Area.

Focus on upgrading and developing key tourism product groups including: Eco-tourism, resorts; cultural and religious tourism (historical relics, temples, festivals, community tourism); border gate tourism; MICE tourism (seminars, conferences, awards, fairs, exhibitions, etc.); cultural and sports events and complementary tourism product groups such as exploring global geoparks, entertainment, adventure tourism, tourism associated with night-time economy, etc.
