Doctors of General Surgery Department - Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital perform surgery on a patient.

This is a special case, when the patient has lived with bladder stones for nearly 30 years, in fear and silently enduring the prolonged pain.

MSc, Dr. Hoang Van Cong - General Surgery Department, said that the patient had a history of bladder stones since childhood, often experienced frequent urination, pain in the lower abdomen but did not completely treat it. Recently, the pain increased, there was burning urination and the patient came to the hospital with stone residue.

Through examination and paraclinical tests, the doctor discovered that the patient had a large stone occupying the entire bladder, causing the risk of mucosal damage, infection and impaired urination function. Because the stone was too large and could not be expelled naturally, the doctors ordered open bladder surgery to remove the stone.
