Ha Giang 2 Ward was established on July 1, 2025, following the Party and State's policy of rearranging administrative units. The ward Party Committee has 3,520 party members. During the past term, the Ha Giang 2 Ward Party Committee has proactively promoted its potential and advantages, actively implemented the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, and achieved many outstanding results. The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system has been focused on; inspection and supervision work has been strengthened, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations.

The government operates effectively; mass mobilization work, activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have many innovations and flexibility. The local economy continues to grow; the annual state budget revenue exceeds the target; the fields of social security, education, health, and culture are given attention; the poverty rate has decreased to 0.74%. State management in the fields of natural resources, minerals, and urban order has many positive changes. National defense and security are maintained, without sudden or unexpected situations.

With the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development", for the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward sets important targets such as: 90% of Party organizations and Party members complete their annual tasks well; budget revenue reaches 142 billion VND; average income per capita reaches 125 million VND; attracting over 1.2 million tourists.
