Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong congratulated India's Independence Day

Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong and leaders of Tuyen Quang Department of Foreign Affairs congratulated the Embassy of India in Hanoi on the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of India's Independence Day.

India is the 7th largest country in terms of area and 2nd largest in the world in terms of population, Indian Independence Day is not only significant for India but it has an impact on world history.

Currently, India is one of the 7 comprehensive strategic partners of Vietnam. The traditional and friendly relationship has been built over many years, and important achievements have been made in recent times.

Regarding investment, as of April 2024, India has 402 investment projects in Vietnam, with a total registered capital of 1.021 billion USD, ranking 26th out of 141 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.

In recent years, Tuyen Quang and Indian partners have had diplomatic relations. India has had a number of projects that have been and are being effectively implemented in the province.

From 2020 to present, Tuyen Quang province has received 2 non-refundable aid packages not included in official development assistance funded by the Government of India through the Embassy of India in Vietnam with a total aid value of 100,000 USD, including: Project to build classrooms at Tien Toc school, Binh An Primary School, Binh An commune; Project to build classrooms at Khuoi Xoan school, Hong Quang Primary School, Lam Binh district, Tuyen Quang province.

Tuyen Quang Province hopes that the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam will be a bridge to foster friendship between the two nations in general and between Tuyen Quang and Indian localities and enterprises in particular. At the same time, help Indian enterprises know about the province's investment attraction policy, especially in areas where India has strengths such as software technology, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
