Phu Quoc in top 10 most beautiful islands in Asia

Phu Quoc is the only name of Vietnam in the list of top 10 most beautiful islands in Asia, announced by travel magazine DestinAsian.

The 18th Reader's Choice Awards were voted by readers of DestinAsian travel magazine. In the category of Top 10 most beautiful islands in Asia, Phu Quoc is the only name of Vietnam that is favored by readers.

This is an annual award to honor outstanding destinations, hotels, airlines and tourism services in the region, based on votes from thousands of readers around the world .

Reviews are based on service quality, travel experience and especially visitor satisfaction with the destination.

According to this list, Phu Quoc ranks 5th after Bali (Indonesia), Maldives, Boracay (Philippines), Phuket (Thailand).

The remaining names are Palawan (Philippines), Koh Samui (Thailand), Langkawi and Penang (Malaysia), Lombok (Indonesia).

The fact that Phu Quoc continues to catch the attention of international media shows that the island's popularity has not diminished.

Since 2023, the island has been consistently named in regional and world "best of" lists from prestigious travel magazines.

In 2024, Travel + Leisure voted Phu Quoc the second most beautiful island in the world, after Maldives, surpassing other famous names in the region such as Bali and Phuket.

Phu Quoc pearl island attracts tourists with its fine white sand beaches, clear blue water, especially its diverse flora and fauna ecosystem and colorful coral reefs.

Previously, Agoda named Phu Quoc the most popular destination for international travelers in 2025, with accommodation searches increasing by 266% compared to 2024.

Recently, the number of visitors to Phu Quoc has shown positive signs. In the first two months of the year, the island served over 1.4 million visitors. Phu Quoc hopes to reach the target of welcoming 7 million visitors to the pearl island in 2025.
