The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just agreed to deploy a night operation plan at Phu Cat Airport (Binh Dinh province) from June 25 to September 3, 2025 as proposed by Vietnam Airlines to meet people's travel needs during the peak summer period of 2025.

Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested Vietnam Airlines to provide additional detailed flight plans at Phu Cat Airport so that relevant agencies and units can proactively arrange human resources and equipment to ensure effective operation and minimize delays and cancellations of night flights.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires Phu Cat Airport to fully prepare infrastructure, equipment, human resources and develop a plan to be ready to serve operations during the above peak period, ensuring service quality at the airport.

The Department also assigned Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to arrange appropriate human resources and closely coordinate with Phu Cat Airport and Vietnam Airlines in flight operations to ensure safety, harmony and efficiency.

The Civil Aviation Authority requests relevant functional departments of the Authority to preside over the adjustment of operating time at Phu Cat Airport during the period from June 25 to September 3, 2025 according to regulations and coordinate additional slots (take-off and landing times) at Phu Cat Airport during the above period to ensure compliance with operating capacity.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam received a document from the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province requesting to increase night flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to/from Phu Cat Airport.

During the peak tourist season (from June to September), Binh Dinh province organizes many exciting national and international cultural, sports and tourism events and activities with many continuous activities taking place from June to September 2025 such as: "Summer 2025 tourism event series" running VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2025; Miss and Mister World Fitness Supermodel contest; hosting the 34th National Traditional Martial Arts Championship in 2025; hosting the National 3x3 Youth Basketball Championship in 2025... and many other exciting sports and cultural events.

Therefore, to meet the travel needs of tourists in the coming time and create favorable conditions for tourism development, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province proposed that the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam pay attention to and grant licenses to organize night flights of airlines from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Cat Airport and vice versa, from June to the end of 2025./.
