Tan Son Nhat Airport serves more than 3.8 million passengers during the peak period of Tet Giap Thin

During the peak period of Tet Giap Thin 2024, Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCMC) served more than 3.8 million passengers.

On March 1, statistics from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCMC) showed that during the peak service period for the Lunar New Year 2024 (from January 26 to February 24), there were a total of 24,502 flights through Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Of which, there were 8,232 international flights and 16,270 domestic flights, an average of 817 flights/day. The peak day was February 18 (January 9) with 975 flights.

During the above period, Tan Son Nhat International Airport served 3,823,065 passengers. Of which, there were 1,388,115 international passengers and 2,434,950 domestic passengers.

On average, there are 127,436 visitors/day, the peak day is February 17 (January 8) up to 157,648 visitors; an increase of 1.42% compared to the same period in 2023, an increase of 65.8% compared to 2022 and an increase of 1.06% compared to 2020 (before the Covid-19 pandemic)

Previously, on February 6, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) put into trial operation a cashless toll collection system at the entrance and exit of Tan Son Nhat airport using RFID technology, helping to shorten payment time and reduce congestion at the airport gateway area. The systems deployed at the airport are all synchronously integrated with the national non-stop toll collection system. All vehicles with a traffic wallet account used on national highways and expressways can make non-stop payments through the service toll lanes of Tan Son Nhat International Airport without having to stick additional cards or incur additional procedures.
