According to Opta's newly updated supercomputer, PSG's chances of winning the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup are up to 64.42%. This means Chelsea only have a 35.58% chance of winning the championship.
PSG's odds of winning the Champions League after 24 hours have increased. Immediately after the second semi-final between PSG and Real Madrid ended, PSG's odds of winning the Champions League were only 62.02% while Chelsea's were 37.98%.
Opta's supercomputer predictions are based on a number of factors, including form and style of play. In this respect, PSG are slightly better than Chelsea.
Chelsea and PSG both have quite similar journeys to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final.
Both teams lost in the second round of the group stage (Chelsea lost 1-3 to Flamengo, while PSG lost 0-1 to Botafogo).
But after the defeat, Chelsea and PSG leveled all opponents, advancing all the way to the final.
In the knockout stages, Chelsea defeated Benfica 4-1, Palmeiras 2-1, and Fluminense 2-0. PSG's journey was even more impressive, as they defeated Inter Miami 4-0, Bayern Munich 2-0, and Real Madrid 4-0 to reach the final.
It can be seen that on the journey to the final match, PSG defeated strong opponents. While Chelsea stepped close to the threshold of heaven without having to meet any truly equal opponent.
