Fans who were waiting for an exciting, attacking match between PSG and Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 were really disappointed. The match was completely under PSG's control after the opening whistle. In the first 5 minutes of the match, the goal of the Royal Spanish team suffered terrible pressure from PSG players.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) had at least three saves. But Courtois' efforts only helped Real Madrid concede a goal later.
In the 6th minute, defender Raul Asencio made a mistake when he lost the ball to Ousmane Dembele right in the penalty area. Although Courtois intervened promptly, preventing Dembele from finishing, Fabian Ruiz was there at the right time to tap the ball in to open the scoring.
