Tam Ky opens Book Festival 2024

This is an important event in a series of activities to develop a reading culture, affirm the role of books in family and social life, and contribute to building a learning, civilized and progressive society. The event attracted a large number of students and city residents to attend.

In his opening speech, Mr. Vo Van Thien - Deputy Director of Tam Ky Culture, Sports and Tourism Center said that with the theme "Books - Bridge of love for Vietnamese families", Tam Ky City Book Festival 2024 hopes to encourage families to read books together, learn and share stories and lessons from books, thereby connecting love and building a happy and sustainable family.
“The Book Festival is also an opportunity to look back at the achievements in developing a reading culture, as well as propose directions and solutions to promote the reading movement to spread more and more strongly in the community.

“This event is not only an opportunity for children to access many good and useful books, but also an opportunity for parents and educators to share experiences and methods to encourage their children to love reading,” said Mr. Thien.

During the Book Festival, from June 25-30, there will be many programs introducing authors and works of local writers organized by the Tam Ky Literature and Arts Association; the program "Nightlife Space" organized by the City's Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism for young people to express their talents and passion for art through many diverse forms of performance.
In addition, the Gala program "Welcome Summer 2024" and children's painting exhibition by the City Youth Union will also be held.
