The Ohmy News website has an article titled: "Vietnam, the center of the Korean football wave". In the article, author Lee Jun-mok explained the success of Korean coaches with Vietnamese football: "The secret to the success of Korean coaches in Vietnam lies in improving the system and reforming the structure of the playing style.

Accordingly, both coaches Park Hang Seo and Kim Sang Sik have been successful in applying the Korean football style based on endurance and defensive-counterattack play.

To achieve this, both Mr. Park and Mr. Kim strictly manage the players' diet and establish strict discipline. Furthermore, training both youth teams contributes to developing the players' level and maintaining a mindset in the way they play."

Chosun newspaper commented: "Coach Kim Sang Sik has quickly revived Vietnamese football. This coach has led the Vietnamese team to become the strongest team in Southeast Asia and now has succeeded with the U23 Vietnam team. Achieving these achievements in just 14 months deserves praise."

Ohmy News also added that the success of Korean coaches in Vietnam has significantly influenced the wave of Korean coaches in Southeast Asia. This newspaper wrote: "The success of Vietnamese football under Korean coaches has significantly influenced Southeast Asian football in choosing head coaches for the national team.

In particular, former coach Shin Tae Yong achieved significant success as head coach of the Indonesian national team. Coach Kim Pan Gon also made his mark when leading the Malaysian team. Coaches Ha Hyuk Joon and Jung Sung Cheon are currently leading the Lao national men's and women's national teams.

Many other Korean coaches are also active or sought after in Southeast Asia. For a coach, setting his sights on the international stage offers a new avenue to prove his ability.

What a team needs from a coach is not just experience or reputation, but vision and philosophy, along with the supportive environment that allows them to realize those things.

Sometimes, even the experiences of failure are not something to be ashamed of but valuable lessons for a coach's greater success when looking towards the future.
