Continuing the program series "CAREME - Love yourself" implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and AstraZeneca Vietnam, on September 21, in Da Nang city, young volunteer doctors and nurses provided free screening for cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic diseases for thousands of local people.
According to the World Health Organization, in Vietnam, there are more than 8.7 million adults with chronic kidney disease, accounting for 12.8% of the population. The 2022 Vietnam Health Insurance report shows that the cost of paying for dialysis is currently at the top of the payment list, estimated at more than 4 trillion VND.
The "CAREME - Love Yourself" program is a digital transformation initiative to support early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease with the desire to help patients access quality medical services, raise awareness of early disease screening for more effective treatment.
Within the framework of the program, at Da Nang hospital, more than 1 thousand people received free examination and screening tests.

The Ministry of Health and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association have donated a mobile telehealth screen and an AI system for reading chest X-rays to Da Nang Hospital to help detect tuberculosis and lung cancer more quickly and accurately, helping to improve working conditions for medical staff and practically serve the people.
