Strengthening control of cyberspace and school food for children

(PLVN) - The People's Council of Quang Binh province has just coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union, the Department of Health and Plan International Vietnam to organize the Conference "Leaders of the People's Council of Quang Binh province meet and dialogue with children in 2025" with the participation of 35 members of the Provincial Children's Council and representatives of children from many localities.

This is an annual activity of practical significance, aiming to promote children's right to participate in issues related to them according to the provisions of the Law on Children; it is an opportunity for children to speak up, express their opinions and aspirations on issues that directly affect the lives, learning and development of children.

At the conference, children presented questions related to 04 groups of topics with content focusing on current prominent issues such as: preventing violence and child sexual abuse; Preventing the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants; Food safety and hygiene and school nutrition; Other related issues affecting children. The questions were presented concisely, clearly, directly to the point and highly topical.

Many statements from young delegates were assessed as high quality, clear, and closely reflecting real life, such as the representative of young delegates, Phan Tuan Kiet, Chairman of the Children's Council of Quang Binh province emphasized: "School violence is still happening around our learning environment. We hope that in the coming time, all levels and sectors will continue to take action to completely handle it, helping us have a truly clean and safe environment to study and grow up."


From the questions of the children participating in the direct dialogue, the leaders of the departments, branches and sectors listened and answered, sharing the opinions that the children raised; at the same time, they informed about the solutions, plans and specific action programs in the work of caring for and protecting children to help them better understand the rights and obligations of children as well as the efforts of all levels, branches, agencies and organizations in the province that have been implemented in the past time to protect and care for children.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Le Vinh The - Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Binh province - highly appreciated the confidence and openness of children at the dialogue, and at the same time requested relevant departments, branches and sectors to concretize the groups of issues raised into practical action plans and programs.


He emphasized: "It is necessary to strengthen control over cyberspace and school food, while improving life skills and the ability to use technology properly for children."

In addition, he also called on children to proactively practice and cultivate morality, actively study, improve digital skills, become responsible citizens, and contribute to building Quang Binh into a safe and friendly destination for children.
