Quanta Group ships first batch of computers manufactured in Nam Dinh

The factory representative said this was a sample batch and did not disclose the product brand. At the same time, he said that the factory would start mass production according to orders in November.

Quanta Group's factory in Nam Dinh shipped its first batch of computers on the afternoon of September 24.

Quanta Computer Inc. (Taiwan, China) was granted an investment registration license by the Nam Dinh provincial government for the Computer Manufacturing Factory project in My Thuan Industrial Park on May 5, 2023 (on an area of over 225,000 m2).

The investment registration certificate states that the project has a total investment capital of more than VND 2,829 billion (equivalent to USD 120 million); an operating period of 48 years; production capacity in 2024: 1,300,000 laptops/desktops; in 2025: 2,600,000 units; in 2026: 3,600,000 units; in 2027: 4,000,000 units; in 2028: 4,500,000 units.

At the signing ceremony of the project development agreement with the Nam Dinh provincial government, held on April 21, 2023 in Nam Dinh, a representative of Quanta Computer Inc. said that the group was established in 1988 in Taiwan (China), its main production field is computers, and it is one of the partners of many major computer companies in the world such as Dell, Toshiba, Amazon, HP, Cisco, Lenovo, Fujitsu, LG, Blackberry, Maxdata, Macbook.

The factory in Nam Dinh is the 9th factory of Quanta Group in the world and the first factory of the Group in Vietnam.
