On the afternoon of May 21, after a 1,800 nautical mile journey from Da Nang city, Ship 20 of Brigade 172, Naval Region 3 and the working delegation arrived safely in Langkawi, Malaysia, ready to participate in activities within the framework of the 2023 International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA).
From May 23 to 28, Ship 20 and the Vietnam People's Navy delegation led by Colonel Nguyen Quoc Quang, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 3, will participate in activities within the framework of LIMA 2023 such as displaying naval ships, exhibition introducing career opportunities in the Malaysian Navy, reviewing ships, and LIMA Sea Exercise.
Ship 20 is a Pohang-class anti-submarine patrol ship, received by the Vietnam People's Navy from the Republic of Korea Navy in October 2018. After receiving, Ship 20 was modernized with some equipment to further improve the ship's technical features as well as the ability to exploit and use weapons and equipment.
This is the third time the Vietnam People's Navy has sent ships to participate in LIMA. In 2017 and 2019, Ship 011 - Dinh Tien Hoang and Ship 012 - Ly Thai To of Brigade 162, Naval Region 4, participated in this event. |

Physical training in Ship 20
Over the years, Ship 20, Squadron 132 (Brigade 172, Naval Region 3) has always identified training to improve physical strength and endurance for officers and soldiers as an important content, ensuring that the ship successfully completes its assigned political tasks.
