Right after the opening whistle, the Vietnam U.20 women's team showed their determination to win all 3 points to get a ticket to the 2024 AFC U.20 Women's Championship finals with one round to go. However, the Lebanese U.20 women's team proved that they are not an easy opponent to bully when they deployed a tight playing style and caused many difficulties for the Vietnamese girls.

It was not until the 33rd minute that the U.20 Vietnam women's team was able to make the opponent's net shake. From a corner kick on the right wing, captain Le Thi Bao Tram chose the right position and jumped high to head the ball dangerously, leaving the goalkeeper of the U.20 Le Bang women's team helpless. However, Bao Tram's goal was not recognized. The referee believed that before Bao Tram headed the ball into the net, the corner kicker had sent the ball out of bounds.

Minh Chuyen scored two goals

When it seemed like the first half would end in a 0-0 draw, Ngoc Minh Chuyen made the stands at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ) explode. In the 77th minute, after a cross from Le Thi Trang, Minh Chuyen delicately dropped the ball for captain Bao Tram to run in and cushion the ball close to the goal, doubling the gap. Just 2 minutes later, Le Thi Trang skillfully dribbled the ball in the penalty area before assisting Minh Chuyen to score, raising the score to 3-0 and completing the double. This was also the final score of the match.

Captain Le Bao Tram shines

In the previous match, the Australian U.20 women's team easily won against Iran U.20 with a score of 3-0. With this result, the Australian U.20 women's team (top of the group with 6 points, goal difference +8) and the Vietnamese U.20 women's team (second in the group with 6 points, goal difference +4) both entered the final round of the 2024 AFC U.20 Women's Championship held in Uzbekistan.

Thus, the final match of the second qualifying round will be decisive for the first and second place in the group between the U.20 Vietnam women's team and the U.20 Australia women's team (at 7:00 p.m. on June 7). At 4:00 p.m., there will be a clash between the two eliminated teams, the U.20 Iran women's team and the U.20 Lebanon women's team.
