According to Thanh Nien reporters, since the morning of September 18, in Thua Thien - Hue, there has been heavy rain, not lasting long but very heavy, with the risk of flooding.

On the afternoon of September 18, households living in areas at risk of landslides were also evacuated to safety by local authorities. Regarding the situation of reservoirs, dykes, and aquaculture, according to the Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thua Thien - Hue province, it is currently the end of the dry season, so the water levels of irrigation and hydroelectric reservoirs are low, and the reservoirs are operating safely.
Heavy rain is forecast to continue in Thua Thien Hue province until September 21. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The heaviest rain will be concentrated from the evening of September 18 to noon of September 20. Total rainfall for the entire period will be 150 - 300 mm, with some places reaching over 450 mm.
