At the inspection, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the efforts of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and contractors.
The Prime Minister requested that Long Thanh airport be basically completed by the end of 2025, mobilizing machinery and equipment and making the most of human resources. If there are any difficulties or problems, the investor and construction unit must report to the superiors for timely resolution.
For the second runway project, the Prime Minister requested that the investor quickly complete the procedures in December 2024 so that construction can begin in January 2025. As for the first terminal and runway project, progress must also be accelerated to bring the project to completion on schedule.
"We will try to mobilize construction workers to work in three shifts, through the sun and rain, to speed up the construction of the first terminal and runway. Phase 2 of the airport also needs to be studied and leveled early," said the Prime Minister.

Regarding component project 4, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Transport to commit to completing it in 2025, and any delays must be compensated. The Prime Minister also requested that the connecting roads to the airport and the road connecting Tan Son Nhat airport to Long Thanh must also be completed synchronously when Long Thanh airport comes into operation.
On the investor side, Mr. Vu The Phiet, Chairman of ACV Board of Directors, said that hundreds of construction teams are being deployed at the construction site with nearly 7,000 experts, engineers, workers, and nearly 3,000 pieces of equipment.
According to ACV leaders, the 5.10 passenger terminal package is expected to complete the entire construction part before December 2025, complete the facade erection before March 2026 in parallel with the completion work, installation of equipment for trial operation from the beginning of 2026 and strive to complete before August 31, 2026.

Package 4.6 runways, taxiways, aircraft parking lots, the joint venture contractor has mobilized 2,035 personnel and 509 pieces of equipment. The first runway is expected to be completed by April 30, 2025.
Package 4.7 for construction and installation of equipment for the airport apron and other projects has just started construction for more than a month. The joint venture contractor has mobilized 772 personnel and 225 pieces of machinery and equipment.
Package 4.8 is currently focusing on implementing priority projects to serve calibration flights, including line 5, 80m long, at the intersection with the runway; line 4, 50m long...
Package 4.9 construction and installation of aircraft fuel supply system equipment is currently being built and designed. Package 6.12 traffic routes T1, T2, the joint venture contractor has mobilized 895 personnel and 127 machines and equipment to the construction site.
