( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of January 9, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired a conference to listen to the General Department of Defense Industry and agencies report on the project to invest in a high-quality steel production line to serve defense production.

Adhering to the Ministry of National Defense’s Plan, the General Department of Defense Industry has actively implemented the project. Specifically, the main items are being constructed, such as: digging, filling, leveling the ground; building factories, operating houses, works serving production lines, etc. The General Department of Defense Industry is also vigorously and synchronously implementing solutions to speed up the project’s progress.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam emphasized that the investment project for the high-quality steel production line, once put into operation, will gradually meet the requirements of defense production, economic development and export; at the same time, he requested the General Department of Defense Industry and related units to proactively implement the tasks in accordance with the policies of the Party, State and Army. Closely coordinate with competent agencies to review and adjust the project plan in accordance with the characteristics and tasks of defense industry and economic development of the country.
