Charles Feeney , one of America 's famous billionaires, has just passed away at the age of 92. While alive, he donated his entire fortune of 8 billion USD to charity, including hundreds of millions of USD to support Vietnam.

According to the Atlantic Philanthropies charity, the kind-hearted American billionaire passed away in San Francisco, USA on October 9.

Mr. Charles Feeney is the co-founder of the retail company Duty Free Shoppers and the idea of "Giving While Living". Since childhood, he has done many different jobs such as shoveling snow, selling greeting cards, selling cakes... to support his family.

The American billionaire is a very charitable person who uses most of his assets for charity, keeping only 2 million USD for his old age.

Mr. Feeney is of Irish descent and lived a simple life despite his enormous wealth. He donated all of this money to charity, including making a major contribution to the development of Vietnam’s health and education systems, with a total of $380 million in aid.

His humanitarian act is said to have inspired the Giving Pledge movement launched by billionaires Bill Gates and Warren Buffett since 2010.

He also called on the US Government to support Vietnam in its recovery and development after difficult years of war.

Billionaire Feeney’s support for Vietnam goes beyond financial contributions to include visits to hospitals and schools to personally inspect and support projects to improve healthcare and education infrastructure. He also funded the construction of RMIT University in Vietnam.
