During his visit to Vietnam, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh stayed at a resort in Hoa Binh , bathed in onsen and enjoyed Muong cuisine.

The room type Mr. Khurelsukh stayed in was the Onsen Villa, 180 square meters wide, priced at 13-15 million VND per night. The villa is described as "a great choice for a family or a group of four" and is designed in a U-shape with a shared living room located between the two bedrooms, making the most of the open space, creating an airy feeling. Ms. Ho Thi Triet Van - deputy director of the resort - revealed that the Mongolian President loves to bathe in onsen. During free time, the group always chooses to relax in the onsen. Mr. Khurelsukh also likes to drink ice-cold beer and enjoy fruit while bathing in the onsen.

The Mongolian high-ranking delegation stayed in the resort's remaining room categories, including Garden Villa, Zen Suite, Bungalow, Zen House - prices usually range from 2.9-5.6 million VND per night. During the time of hosting the Mongolian President's delegation, the resort still accepted outside guests with pre-booked rooms. However, security was strictly ensured.

For the first dinner at the resort, the Mongolian President enjoyed a "strongly Muong" menu with catfish spring rolls and steamed river catfish on ice at the Non restaurant. Ms. Van said that catfish from the Da River (Hoa Binh) is a premium quality fish with soft, sweet meat. Other dishes on the dinner menu include hill chicken and sticky rice. On the morning of November 4, the Mongolian President's delegation enjoyed Vietnamese specialties such as beef pho, perch vermicelli, meat-filled rice rolls, and some light dishes including corn, sweet potatoes, and steamed taro.

The menu to welcome the Mongolian President was proposed by the resort and approved by the leaders of Hoa Binh province. Chef Doan Anh Linh said he was quite nervous the first time he welcomed a head of state.

"I want to bring the President and the high-ranking Mongolian delegation the typical spices of Muong. All ingredients are carefully prepared and strictly controlled," said Mr. Linh.

Serena Resort is inspired by the natural mountains and forests, the culture of the Northwest, and is distinguished by its construction materials made of wood and bamboo. The resort has 155 rooms, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and a hot mineral bath. Most of the staff here are ethnic people from the surrounding villages.
