In the face of recent developments in world petroleum product prices and the implementation of petroleum price management according to the market mechanism under State management, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance does not set aside and does not spend the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for all products.

Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. on August 7, the maximum retail price for petroleum products will be applied as follows: E5RON92 gasoline will not be higher than VND 19,608/liter (an increase of VND 207/liter compared to the current base price), VND 466/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline; RON95-III gasoline will not be higher than VND 20,074/liter (an increase of VND 234/liter compared to the current base price); 0.05S diesel will not be higher than VND 18,800/liter (a decrease of VND 268/liter compared to the current base price); kerosene will not be higher than VND 18,660/liter (a decrease of VND 54/liter compared to the current base price); Madut 180CST 3.5S oil is not higher than 15,647 VND/kg (an increase of 114 VND/kg compared to the current base price).

Thus, since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 33 adjustments, of which RON 95 gasoline has increased 18 times and decreased 15 times; diesel has increased 16 times, decreased 16 times and remained unchanged once.
The adjustment of retail gasoline prices is decided by key traders and distributors, but cannot be made earlier than 3:00 p.m. on August 7, 2025.

The time to apply the new base price will last until the next announcement period of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Enterprises will adjust prices in accordance with the provisions of current Decrees and Circulars on the management of petroleum business and the use of the Price Stabilization Fund.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the implementation of regulations on ensuring petroleum supply, and strictly handle violations if detected.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this management period (from July 31, 2025 to August 6, 2025) is affected by key factors such as: updated information on US tax policies on imported goods of trading partners; OPEC+'s decision to increase oil production in September; the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine... The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity in recent days.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price management period of July 31, 2025 and the management period of August 7, 2025 is: 78.508 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 1.100 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.42%); 80.198 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 1.100 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.39%); 87.616 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 0.426 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.48%); 88.868 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 1.632 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.80%); 420,802 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 3,404 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 0.82%).
