(Dan Tri) - The new urban area of Cam Lam district ( Khanh Hoa ) is over 10,356 hectares wide, with a preliminary total investment of about 260,267 billion VND, equivalent to more than 10 billion USD.
Decision 662 approving the investment policy of the Cam Lam new urban area project in Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province has just been signed.
Accordingly, the project is implemented in Cam Lam district, including communes and towns of Cam Duc, Cam Hai Dong, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hoa, Cam An Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Tan, Suoi Tan, Cam Thanh Bac. Along with that is a part of Cam Ranh city including Cam Thanh Nam commune, Cam Phuc Bac ward, Cam Nghia ward.
Cam Lam New Urban Area has a land use area of over 10,356 hectares; of which nearly 81 hectares will be converted to forest use. The project has a total preliminary investment of about 260,267 billion VND (equivalent to more than 10 billion USD); not including compensation and resettlement support costs of about 25,000 billion VND. The operation period is 50 years from the date of land allocation decision, land lease decision, and land use purpose conversion decision.
It is expected that Cam Lam new urban area will have about 58,576 villas and townhouses; 9,821 apartments; 58,574 plots of land for villas and townhouses; 33,052 social housing units; 36-hole golf course...

The project will be organized for bidding to select investors according to regulations. Project implementation progress is from 2025 to 2037.
The project investment objective is to develop a new complex urban center with the characteristics of a regional mixed-use center in Cam Duc town linked to the urban center axis.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to organize the selection of investors to implement the project in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring that investors have sufficient capacity (especially financial), experience, and conditions to be allocated land by the state, leased land, and converted to land use purposes to implement the project according to the registered schedule.
At the same time, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has regulations on commitments and conditions binding investors to implement the progress and objectives of the project; taking responsibility for handling if investors violate the commitment, ensuring effective use of land resources, not wasting when not implementing the project.
