"Tomorrow, the President will begin a trip to the UAE and Saudi Arabia," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on December 5.

According to Mr. Peskov, in addition to the topic of cooperation in the oil sector, a number of other aspects will also be included in President Putin's agenda during this trip.

"Exchange of views on the international and regional agenda. Of course, the issue I am talking about here is the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. But first of all, let's talk about bilateral relations," Dmitry Peskov said.

When asked about the influence of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) on the market situation, Mr. Peskov shared: "There will be times when the influence will be reduced, however, Russia will continue to cooperate."

In another development, on December 4, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva announced that President Putin will receive an invitation to attend the G20 Summit next year. The Brazilian leader also emphasized that Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

On this issue, Mr. Peskov said that Russia will continue to participate in the work of the G20, but the form in which President Putin will attend the G20 conference has not been decided.

"No decision has been made yet. However, in any case, one way or another, Russia will continue to participate in the conference," Mr. Peskov said.

Putin's planned trip comes after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for the Russian leader in March for "illegal deportation and illegal transfer of children from the territory of Ukraine to Russia." Under the Rome Statute, the ICC's 123 member states, including Brazil, are obliged to arrest the Russian leader if he sets foot on their territory.

Russia has called the ICC arrest warrant for President Putin "null and void". Russia signed the Rome Statute of the ICC in 2000, but never ratified it to become a member of the ICC and eventually withdrew its signature in 2016.
