Ho Chi Minh City bans some central routes to organize international film festival

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has just announced traffic adjustments on some routes in the central district to organize the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival, taking place from April 6-13.

The first Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival (HIFF 2024) is a program organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with VietFest and a number of units, taking place on April 6.

From 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 6, 7, and 13, all vehicles are prohibited from circulating on Lam Son School, District 1.

From 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 6, 7, and 13, all vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the following roads: Dong Khoi Street, Lam Son Square, and Le Loi Street.

Specifically, Dong Khoi Street is prohibited from Le Thanh Ton Street to Dong Du Street. Lam Son Square Street (on both sides of the City Theater) is prohibited from Hai Ba Trung Street to Dong Khoi Street. Le Loi Street is prohibited from Nguyen Hue Street to Dong Khoi Street.

The alternative traffic route will be: Dong Khoi Street - Ly Tu Trong Street - Hai Ba Trung Street - Dong Du Street - Dong Khoi Street.

Hai Ba Trung Street - Le Thanh Ton Street - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street - Le Loi Street.   Le Loi Street - Pasteur Street - Ly Tu Trong Street - Hai Ba Trung Street.

The Department of Transport also noted that vehicle drivers must comply with the commands of traffic controllers and the road signal system.

For vehicles of individuals and organizations in the affected area that need to circulate during the restricted period, the Department of Transport recommends that they directly contact the Department of Culture and Sports (phone number 02838224053) for support.
