On the afternoon of July 17, at a press conference providing information on socio -economic issues in Ho Chi Minh City organized by the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Information, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Ngoc Hang informed about the plan to take care of people with workers on the occasion of July 27.
The level of gift spending for policy beneficiaries is equal to or higher than the spending level of the 3 regions, expanding the policy beneficiaries in accordance with the care work in localities before the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units.
The total number of policy beneficiaries expected to receive gifts in 2025 is 147,112 people, an increase of 43,491 people (141.97% compared to 2024). The total budget for gift spending in 2025 increased by nearly 38 million VND compared to the previous year.
Ho Chi Minh City also organized 46 delegations of leaders to visit and present gifts to 5 Nursing Centers for War Invalids in the Northern provinces, Thi Nghe Nursing Center and 225 typical policy families.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City organized a meeting with 185 outstanding people and a ceremony to posthumously award State honorary titles to 6 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
