The August activities had the participation of more than 100 compatriots of 16 ethnic groups who are active daily and compatriots of 11 localities (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi , Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Son La, Hue, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Can Tho). In addition, the program mobilized about 25 more Xo Dang compatriots, Quang Ngai province on August 23 and 24.
The August program includes activities such as "Going to the village is enjoyable", including a reenactment of the water trough worshiping ceremony of the Xo Dang ethnic group in Kon Tum province; an exchange called "Echoes of the village"; folk song and dance "Highland dream"; folk song and dance "Vietnam in me".
Visitors will enjoy performances such as folk songs, traditional musical instruments... of the Xo Dang people of Quang Ngai province as well as exchanges between the Xo Dang, Co Tu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, and Raglai ethnic groups that are active daily in the Village.
In addition, the locals will perform unique musical instruments such as gongs, bamboo instruments, dried gourds, etc. and guide tourists to experience these traditional musical instruments; perform and experience traditional crafts such as brocade weaving, traditional weaving, etc.
Along with the monthly themed activities, on weekends, the daily ethnic groups still organize exchanges and experience traditional cultural activities such as learning about architecture, costumes, folk songs and dances, festivals, cuisine, traditional medicine, traditional musical instruments, etc.
The people have programs to perform traditional musical instruments and traditional folk performances. Experience and exchange typical performances of the ethnic groups that are active every day in the Village: playing Dinh Nam, singing Ay Ray, playing Chapi, singing songs about the Central Highlands, playing Tinh and singing Then, dancing Xoe, etc.
In addition, visitors also have the opportunity to learn about ethnic cuisine and enjoy special dishes: sticky rice, chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, steamed fish, steamed vegetables, grilled fish, pork dishes, colored sticky rice, etc. of the Muong and Thai ethnic groups; grilled chicken of the Dao and Kho Mu ethnic groups; coffee, cocoa, etc.
Traditional cultural experience activities include a number of games such as: playing dice, playing hopscotch, playing checkers, playing bamboo puppets, etc. indoors; walking on stilts, dancing on bamboo poles, etc. outdoors.
There are also service activities according to tourists' needs such as: space to experience painting statues, sand painting, bamboo dragonflies, wood paintings, wooden fish, painting; experience ethnic costumes, etc.
