Awarding scholarships to Pham Van Tra Scholarship Fund of Hau Giang province

This is the second year that the Management Board of Pham Van Tra Scholarship Fund of Hau Giang province has organized the awarding of scholarships to students in Hau Giang province. General Pham Van Tra, former member of the Politburo, former Minister of National Defense, Honorary Chairman of Pham Van Tra Scholarship Fund of Hau Giang province attended and awarded scholarships to the students.

Accordingly, nearly 2,500 scholarships were awarded, each worth 2 million VND for university students; 1.5 million VND for college students and 1 million VND for high school students, with a total value of 3 billion VND.

The scholarships and humane gifts from the Pham Van Tra Scholarship Fund not only help the children materially but also provide spiritual encouragement, giving them strength and confidence in life, helping them strive to excel and take steady steps on the path of learning.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee spoke at the ceremony.

According to Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, in recent times, the Party Committee and the government of Hau Giang province have always paid attention to and issued many policies to develop the education sector. Many resources have been mobilized to care for the material and spiritual life of children, especially poor students and those in difficult circumstances.

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024-2025, sectors and levels in the province have focused on mobilizing individuals, groups, agencies, units, and businesses to support thousands of scholarships for children in especially difficult circumstances.

Give scholarships to students.

Through this, the Fund has helped many children continue to go to school; thousands of children received gifts, had more joy in life, helped many families reduce the burden so that parents of students can feel secure in working, producing and doing business, with a total value of more than 11.6 billion VND.

In addition, many schools in the area have been built more spaciously and fully equipped to serve the teaching and learning needs of students. All of the above achievements are thanks to the great contributions of philanthropists, benefactors, and businesses inside and outside the province.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province expressed his gratitude to the individuals, organizations and businesses that founded the Pham Van Tra Scholarship Fund of Hau Giang province, contributing to adding motivation and confidence to Hau Giang's students to have more conditions to realize their dreams and ambitions for a brighter future.

In the context of the province's limited resources, it is hoped that in the coming time, the Pham Van Tra Education Promotion Fund of Hau Giang province will continue to support Hau Giang's education sector to develop comprehensively, moving forward in line with the development trend of the country's education sector.
