On the afternoon of June 25, at Can Tho University, the photo exhibition "Frames of climate change: Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam" opened. The event was organized by the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship Association of Can Tho City in coordination with Can Tho University and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition features nearly 100 impressive photographic works, capturing authentic moments of the impacts of climate change in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Each photo not only clearly reflects the impact of climate change on the environment and human life, but also conveys a strong message about the community's shared responsibility in responding to this challenge, towards a sustainable future.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, emphasized: "Climate change is having an increasingly serious impact on the Mekong Delta region, of which Can Tho is one of the localities directly affected. Therefore, the photo exhibition "Frames of climate change" is very meaningful in inspiring the community, especially the young generation, to have a deeper awareness of the impact of climate change on our lives."
Leaders of Can Tho City and Can Tho University and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City attended the exhibition.

Can Tho leaders also expressed their appreciation for the companionship and support from the Netherlands – a country with rich experience in adapting to climate change. The cooperation is demonstrated through many practical projects such as planting trees to prevent landslides, piloting garbage collection on the Can Tho River and developing ecological urban areas.
Vietnam and the Netherlands share many similarities with their vast delta regions, facing the challenges of climate change and rising sea levels. Over the years, the cooperation between the two countries has deepened, especially through the establishment of a strategic partnership on climate change adaptation and water management (2010), and a strategic partnership on sustainable agriculture and food security (2014).
The exhibition "Frames of Climate Change: Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam" opens from June 25 to July 16, 2025.
