Exhibition honors the country's socio-economic development achievements

A large number of people visited the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

Taking place from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is an opportunity to honor and promote the country's outstanding achievements over the past 80 years, in areas such as: Industry - technology; investment - trade; agriculture - rural areas; national defense, security; health, education; culture, sports and tourism,...

The exhibition also introduces the unique cultural values and heritage of the community of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of natural resources, rich products of the three regions of the North, Central and South; and typical and outstanding architectural works of the past and present across the country.

With the consistent message “Vietnam – Journey to a new era”, the exhibition spaces in Kim Quy Exhibition House will highlight topics such as: “Vietnam – Country – People”, “95 years of the Party flag lighting the way”, “Development”, “Rich province, strong country”; “ Economic locomotive”, “Start-up to build the nation”...

The attraction and highlight expected to attract a large number of visitors is the outdoor exhibition area with the theme "Integration and Development". Accordingly, the public can access and learn about the exhibition space of the industry and energy sector with the theme "For a green future", including nuclear energy and renewable energy, environmental technology, electric/magnetic energy vehicles, and a model of the North-South high-speed railway. With the theme "Aspiration for the sky", the public has the opportunity to enjoy products in the field of aerospace, aircraft models, satellites, flight path models, etc.

In the area displaying military equipment, the exhibition will introduce to the public special equipment, vehicles, rescue vehicles, fire trucks and military and security weapons and equipment demonstrating the strength to protect national sovereignty and security. This is the largest exhibition area with a floor area of nearly ^46,000m2 and is expected to be a prominent appearance, attracting all visitors to the exhibition.

According to Major General Le Quang Tuyen, Deputy Director of the General Department of Defense Industry, to highlight the image of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) in the exhibition "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", the Ministry of National Defense will design 3 areas, including: Area introducing the historical traditions of the Vietnam People's Army; area introducing the achievements of the Vietnam People's Army; area for simulation experiences serving the training and combat readiness of the Army. The exhibition space will combine models, images, artifacts with special effects, sound, light, 3D space technology, virtual reality; At the same time, it promotes a number of outstanding products, new generation equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), dual-use economic products using modern technology, artificial intelligence (AI)... thereby honoring the glorious historical tradition of our Army as well as the great defense achievements in the development flow of the country over the past 80 years.

Coming to the exhibition, people and visitors are not only satisfied with large panels, photos, drawings, documents, artifacts combined with 3D mapping projections, virtual reality experiences, multimedia audiovisual works, digital technology, AI, ... but also directly participate in fair activities on tourism, culture, cuisine, entertainment, rich and vivid, suitable for their interests.

In particular, for the first time, the public has the opportunity to learn about and access outstanding works and products of 12 cultural industries, including: Advertising; architecture; software and entertainment games; handicrafts; design; cinema; publishing; fashion; performing arts; fine arts, photography and exhibitions; radio and television; cultural tourism.

Chairing a meeting with ministries, sectors and functional agencies on the preparation and implementation of the exhibition, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is rich in political and cultural significance. Sectors, agencies and localities, through their own sector, field and locality exhibition spaces, aim to introduce to the public and tourists their outstanding achievements, promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people, thereby contributing to educating revolutionary traditions, spreading the aspiration to develop a rich and prosperous country in the new era, strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State and their belief in the bright future of the nation.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh also hopes that this exhibition will be organized at an international level, leaving a strong and deep impression not only on domestic people but also on international visitors on the occasion of the 80th National Day of the nation.
