According to a spokesman for the North Korean Ministry of National Defense, from July 2-9, US reconnaissance aircraft such as the RC-135, U-2S and RQ-4B flew over the airspace of the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea.

During the flight over the Sea of Japan, US strategic reconnaissance aircraft repeatedly violated dozens of kilometers of North Korean airspace.

Affirming that it will prevent Washington's "reckless actions", the North Korean Defense Ministry has warned of the possibility of shooting down its reconnaissance aircraft.

For decades, the US has reportedly conducted aerial reconnaissance flights near North Korea and has a network of spy satellites monitoring the country's key facilities.

The spokesman also said that the US posed a "serious threat" to regional peace by planning to deploy nuclear submarines to the Korean Peninsula, adding that this move would make the risk of nuclear conflict more real.

This is a nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine that the US has pledged to send to the peninsula to enhance deterrence and ensure security for its ally South Korea against North Korea's future nuclear and missile programs.

There is no specific information about the timing of the submarine deployment. The South Korean Ministry of Defense and US Forces Korea have not commented on the above information.
